Come to Toynbee Hall's Wellbeing Centre to celebrate all things Cockney as part of the East End’s first borough-wide festival celebrating Cockney language and culture.

Chewing the Fat

All are welcome, from little bin lids to the old pots and pans, at this day of free arts workshops and entertainment celebrating Cockney culture. Make your very own Pearly King or Queen sash using recycled materials and join us for a traditional sing-song and a slap’up lunch for £2.35!

About the Cockney Heritage Festival 2013

Organised by the Cockney Heritage Trust and Tower Hamlets Local History Library & Archives, the East End’s first borough-wide festival celebrating Cockney language and culture will be taking place from 18 – 27 July 2013.

This collective effort from community groups across the borough represents the biggest celebration of Cockney heritage the East End has seen in a generation.
