Celebrating Older People's Day
Published: 14 Oct 2014
A terrific Tuesday was spent at York Hall on October 14th to celebrate Older People’s Day. Over 250 people attended for food and fun! Once you were served your tea or coffee, attendees were entertained by Bollywood dancers and encourager to join in.
People could relax with a back massage by, or join tai chi with Juliet or chair based fitness with Mickael.
After a tasty lunch provided by the Sundial Centre, we were entertained by Lindsay, singing claassics such as ‘Mack The Knife’, commemorative songs including ‘Pack up Your Troubles’ and the staple ‘Wind Beneath My Wings’. The afternoon finished with a DJ of Chas n Dave which got people high-kicking and dancing!
