2015 Impact Review - Our year in numbers
Published: 4 Aug 2015
Our Impact Review for 2014/15 looks at the numbers of people we helped and the ways we made a difference.
Here are some of the numbers that show our impact:
13,016 - Last year our services helped 13,016 people. Through our advice services, community support work, youth and older people’s services and financial inclusion work, we have provided vital support to those who live in some of the most deprived conditions in the UK.
6,854 - The number of people that came to us for advice. From the Free Legal Advice Centre to Debt and Macmillan benefits advice service, our advice is a source of help in times of crisis.
2,384 - The number of visits to our older people’s Wellbeing Centre. Our older people’s services work to enhance quality of life for older people who often suffer from isolation and poor health. Our Wellbeing Centre provides a warm place to meet, socialise and have something to eat.
814 - The number of people our Community Organisers met in Tower Hamlets, extending the reach and impact of our services and engaging harder to reach groups.
422 - The number of participants that took part in our younger people’s projects. 49% of children in Tower Hamlets live in poverty. Our youth programmes such as Make it! and Be Active! help young people to achieve their potential by increasing their skills, confidence and sense of identity so that they can better engage with school, build positive relationships with their peers and families and escape the cycle of poverty.
