Welcoming HFW’s volunteers to the Free Legal Advice Centre

Published: 23 Oct 2017

We are delighted to be welcoming international law firm HFW to our Free Legal Advice Centre (FLAC) as our newest pro bono partner. From Monday 23 October, HFW – who are based just a ten minute walk from Toynbee Hall at Crutched Friars - will be sending a team of volunteers to FLAC every Monday evening, providing legal advice and support on a variety of issues relating to employment law.

FLAC is the oldest continually-running legal advice centre in the UK, and provides regular clinics to offer advice on diverse areas of law, from housing and family, to immigration and women-only advice. The skills and expertise of pro bono volunteers is an integral part of this provision, and we’re delighted that HFW will be supporting our mission to provide access to justice to communities across Tower Hamlets and throughout London.

HFW are delighted to be supporting the vital work of Toynbee Hall through the provision of free legal advice as we believe everyone is entitled to access to justice irrespective of their socio-economic background or ability to pay. We want to have a positive impact on our local community and as our community investment strategy focuses on access to justice/legal services and education and employability the clinic is a perfect match for us. We look forward to continuing to develop a successful partnership.
